Covering topics related to Disability and LGBTQIA+ identities, our sessions help participants “get comfortable” and enhance inclusive, welcoming spaces.

An Indigenous woman and a Latinx non-binary person discuss books while sitting on a couch inside a bookstore. They are both masked. The Indigenous woman wears glasses, wrist support wraps and finger splints, and is leaning on supportive kitty pillows. The Latinx person holds a fidget in one hand and a book in another while their cane rests between their legs. Delve into the intersections of disability and LGBTQIA+ identities to understand why an intersectional approach is crucial. Using Compassionate Curiosity as our framework, this workshop will guide you through scenarios that will leave you confident about the importance and application of intersectionality in your workplace.

Getting Comfortable with Neurodivergence in the Workplace

What is neurodivergence and what forms can it take? Learn the basics of neurodivergence, the significance of different disability models, and how to celebrate and accommodate neurodivergent people in your organisation. Simply Equality use scenarios to challenge entrenched stereotypes and foster a more inclusive culture.

Getting Comfortable with Disability

Using our Compassionate Curiosity framework, this workshop covers the legal framework around disability, how to advocate for workplace adjustments, and how to have constructive discussions about accessibility at every level of the business. Participants will leave feeling empowered to support disabled colleagues and themselves to thrive in the professional world.

Getting Comfortable with LGBTQIA+ Identities

Explore the diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community, understand the importance of inclusive language, and tackle common misconceptions and issues with confidence and conviction. This workshop uses real-world scenarios to ensure participants leave with a solid understanding and the ability to be LGBTQIA+ inclusive, promoting allyship in the workplace.

Getting Comfortable with Transgender People in the Workplace and the Importance of Pronouns

Getting Comfortable with Inclusive Language

Think it’s impossible to say anything without offending someone? Have a colleague who believes that’s the case. Yawn. This workshop challenges that notion, offering tools to navigate language inclusively. We’ll explore the impact of language and how to keep office banter inclusive and fun, while still maintaining a light and friendly culture.

At Simply Equality, we understand attention spans are short (one of our founders has ADHD, after all!). Our workshops are lively and interactive to keep people interested. Enabling those with active learning styles to engage.

Each session is around an hour-and-a-half to two hours long. They include a short comfort break and hands-on scenario work to solidify learning and improve understanding. The more time we have, the more opportunity there is for group work and important discussion.

Balancing emotionally charged topics with humour and compassion, our workshops draw participants in and inspire them to become more compassionately curious about their world. We know that learning doesn’t stop when the workshop ends so we follow up with you at 3 and 6 months post-workshop to discuss your successes and challenges, offering continued support as you move forward with your EDI journey.

Pricing Note:

It is important to note that due to the nature of what we do our prices reflect the wealth of experience that we have, and the immense costs disabled people incur to have the same quality of life as able-bodied people.

Charity Scope estimates that it costs disabled people an extra £1000 a month for the same standard of living. We can provide bespoke scenarios tailored to your organisation informed by our experiences, travel within certain areas of Oxfordshire, in depth follow ups, and materials and resources for you to keep, use and work from.
